Andhagan OTT Release: “Andhagan” is a Tamil criminal thriller that was produced by Staar Movies and directed by Thiagarajan, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Pattukkottai Prabakar. Along with a stellar ensemble cast that includes Simran, Priya Anand, Karthik, Samuthirakani, Urvashi, Yogi Babu, K. S. Ravikumar, Vanitha Vijayakumar, and Manobala, the film stars Prashanth in the lead role. The story, which is a replica of the 2018 Hindi film “Andhadhun,” centres on a blind pianist who inadvertently gets involved in a murder.
Mohan Raja was originally slated to helm “Andhadhun,” which Thiagarajan purchased the remake rights to in 2019. J.J. Fredrick briefly took over as director after Raja left the project, and then Thiagarajan took it. Principal photography, mostly in Chennai, started in March 2021 and ended in November 2022. Santhosh Narayanan composed the soundtrack, Ravi Yadav did the photography, and Sathish Suriya did the editing.

“Andhagan” is expected to launch via over-the-top (OTT) platforms on October 24, 2024, according to insiders. However, the filmmakers have not yet made an official statement, thus details about the particular streaming platform are still unknown.
