On August 29, 2024, Raj Tarun’s most recent Telugu action drama, Purushothamudu, which was written and directed by Ram Bhimana, will be available for streaming on Aha Video. The movie underperformed at the box office and was criticised for being too similar to Mahesh Babu’s Srimanthudu, despite having a stellar cast and a good storyline.
Purushothamudu Plot: A Test of Character and Love
Raj Tarun’s character Rachit Ram, the protagonist of Purushothamudu, is a young man who, after finishing his education in London, returns to India. When he gets back, his family challenges him to live a normal life for a hundred days before taking over as CEO of his father’s business.
He travels to a village where he meets Hassini Sudhir’s character Ammu and falls in love after facing many obstacles.
Produced under the Shree Sridevi Productions label by Dr. Ramesh Tejawat and Prakash Tejawat, the film features veteran actors like Prakash Raj, Ramya Krishna, and Murali Sharma. P.G. Vinda handled the cinematography, and Gopi Sundar handled the music.
Purushothamudu Box Office
Reaction to Purushothamudu’s July 26, 2024 theatrical release was ambivalent. The movie’s box office receipts of just Rs 1.34 crore fell well short of projections, and it was promptly dubbed a financial disaster. Critics noted that Raj Tarun’s lack of participation in promotional events was a contributing cause to the film’s failure and probably also to its low performance.
Purushothamudu OTT Release
But the movie’s Aha Video premiere might offer it another opportunity to reach a larger audience. With great excitement, the streaming service revealed a poster of Raj Tarun along with an invitation for people to “witness the power of Courage” beginning on August 29.
Purushothamudu has received some positive reviews despite its difficulties; it has an IMDb rating of 8.1/10 from 2,100 users, indicating that some viewers found it appealing. The movie might find a more receptive audience thanks to its OTT release, especially among people who missed its theatrical run.
Thiragabadara Saami, Raj Tarun’s second release, did not fare well at the box office, which has added to his current problems. In addition, the actor has been involved in personal disputes; Lavanya, for example, has accused him of misleading her by promising marriage. The challenges in his career have only gotten worse as a result of these problems.
