Red One, Dwayne Johnson’s Christmas Film, will be Released in 4K and Blu-ray

Amazon has officially set the Red One 4K & Blu-ray release date.

When is the Red One 4K & Blu-ray Release Date?

On March 4, 2025, Red One will be released in 4K and Blu-ray. For those who prefer to watch the movie in person, it will also be available for purchase on DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K UHD.

“After Santa Claus – Code Name: RED ONE – is kidnapped, the North Pole’s Head of Security must team up with the world’s most infamous bounty hunter in a globe-trotting, action-packed mission to save Christmas,” reads the film’s official synopsis.

Jake Kasdan, who had previously collaborated with Johnson on Sony Pictures’ popular Jumanji flicks, directed and produced the movie. Chris Morgan of Fast & Furious also wrote it, based on a story that Hiram Garcia came up with. Kiernan Shipka as Gryla, Nick Kroll as Ted, Mary Elizabeth Ellis as Olivia, Wesley Kimmel as Dylan, Lucy Liu as Zoe Harlow, J.K. Simmons as Santa Claus, and others join Johnson and Evans. Morgan, Sky Salem Robinson, and Melvin Mar produced it for Seven Bucks Productions, which also included Johnson, Hiram Garcia, and Dany Garcia.

The movie failed to draw in both critics and viewers throughout its theatrical run, despite having an all-star cast. Despite a rumoured budget of between $200 and $250 million, it barely made about $160 million globally.

But after making its premiere on Prime Video last month, the movie became the streaming service’s most-watched movie.
