Despite omitting India at the time, Red One, the Christmas action-adventure comedy picture starring Chris Evans and Dwayne Johnson (The Rock), hit theatres in mid-November. The picture, which was based on an original narrative by Hiram Garcia and was directed by Jake Kasdan and written by Chris Morgan, received mostly bad reviews when it first came out and barely made USD 150 million worldwide. According to reports, the movie had a $200–250 million USD budget.
Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans Red One to drop on Prime Video
In time for the Christmas celebrations, Red One will make its worldwide over-the-top (OTT) debut on Amazon Prime Video.

The film centres around the kidnapping of Santa Claus, played by JK Simmons, with the North Pole’s security chief, Callum Drift (Johnson), and notorious bounty hunter Jack O’Malley (Evans), who has a talent for tracking down even the most elusive objects, pursuing the kidnapping. Jack is specifically hauled in since he is the one who kidnapped Santa.
The ensemble cast of the movie also includes Nick Kroll, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Marc Evan Jackson, Jenna Kanell, Wesley Kimmel, Wyatt Hunt, Gursharn Arya, and others. Lucy Liu plays Zoe Harlow, the Director of the Mythological Oversight and Restoration Authority; Bonnie Hunt plays Mrs. Claus; Kristofer Hivju plays Krampus, Santa’s estranged adoptive brother; and Kiernan Shipka plays Krampus’ ex-girlfriend.
