Shanmukh Jaswant, the Bigg Boss Fame, is Releasing his Debut Film on OTT

After becoming well-known on Bigg Boss season 5, Telugu YouTuber Shanmukh Jaswanth is almost ready to make the transition to the big screen! A young love story that will be published only on the OTT platform ETV Win, rather than through a regular theater release, will be his first film as a leading man.

Filming for the unofficially-titled film (but spoilers indicate “Leela” is a front-runner) just started. “In order to give his admirers a preview of the production, Shanmukh himself posted pictures from the opening ceremony on Instagram. The female protagonist will be played by Malayalam actress Anagha Ajith in her Tollywood debut.”

Shanmukh formally revealed the movie as a web movie, eschewing cinemas completely. At the inaugural ceremony, Shanmukh was joined by director Vivek Atreya, Bekkem Venugopal, and Praveen Kandrengula. Pictures from the occasion have gone viral on social media.

Shanmukh first gained popularity as a YouTuber, which paved the way for his rise to stardom. Due to his popularity, he was able to compete in Bigg Boss season 5, where he placed runner-up after wowing the audience with his performance. He was even widely expected to win the crown, but in the end, VJ Sunny prevailed.

Shanmukh kept up his acting career after Bigg Boss by appearing in online series including “The Software Developer” and “Agent Anand Santosh.” He has also demonstrated his abilities in independent music videos for the songs “Ayoyyo,” “Malupu,” and “Rukmini.”

Shanmukh hasn’t been a stranger to headlines, sometimes for reasons beyond acting. Past controversies include driving under the influence and rumored past relationships, including one with Deepti Sunayana. During Bigg Boss, Shanmukh developed a connection with co-contestant Siri Hanman, but that romance reportedly fizzled out after the show.
