Day 39 box office receipts for “Stree 2”: Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s movie hits Rs 600 crore in India before Jr. NTR’s Devara opens.

Stree 2 brought in a total of Rs 14.32 crore for the sixth weekend after earning Rs 5.20 crore on its sixth Friday, Rs 3.80 crore on its sixth Saturday, and Rs 5.32 crore on its sixth Sunday. With this, the movie’s total box office receipts in India came to Rs 604.22 crore.

Commenting on the film’s box office performance, veteran film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh explained: “It would be premature to predict the lifetime biz of Stree 2 has consistently surprised with phenomenal numbers day after day, week after week.”

The movie has made over Rs 600 crore days before the epic action drama Devara: Part 1 starring Jr. NTR opens. Upcoming Jr. NTR movie has so far had respectable advance booking for its opening day of performances.

As of Monday, Devara had sold 27,024 tickets for a total of Rs 1.42 crore, including block seats, and Rs 77.74 lakh, excluding block seats.

In the movie, which is often referred to as NTR30, Jr. NTR plays two roles. Additionally, this movie is Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan’s first in the Telugu cinema industry.

Stree 2, the much anticipated follow-up to the 2018 horror comedy Stree, is helmed by Amar Kaushik. The movie follows Vicky and his pals as they set out to free Chanderi, the town, from Sarkata’s terrifying presence.

Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Abhishek Banerjee, Pankaj Tripathi, and Aparshakti Khurana all play prominent roles in the horror comedy. On August 15, this year, the movie went on general release in theatres across the globe, costarring John Abraham and Sharvari Wagh in Vedaa, Chiyaan Vikram in Thangalaan, and Akshay Kumar in Khel Khel Mein.
