Plot and Director
Jillian Bell co-wrote and directed the new movie, which centers on an awkward high school senior (Sam Morelos from “That ’90s Show”) who hires an exotic dancer (Chloe Fineman from “SNL”) to help woo her longtime crush before graduation. This unexpected friendship and lessons about acceptance, self-confidence, and adulthood result.
Cast
Fineman plays “Santa Monica,” a stripper who offers to assist Abby (Morelos) in exchange for assistance in preventing the foreclosure of her gentleman’s club, according to cast data made public on Thursday. A “sleazy misogynist who threatens to take over Diamond Dolls,” the club where Santa Monica works, is the character that Day portrays.

Summer of 69″: American High’s Latest Film Shines in Syracuse
American High, a production company based in Liverpool, has filmed 20 films in the Syracuse area, including “Summer of 69.” While filming last summer, Day and Morales, who previously directed “Plan B” for American High, were seen at Pastabilities, a restaurant in Armory Square.
The international premiere of “Summer of 69” took place at the SXSW film festival last month. They haven’t produced a trailer yet.

Alongside American High’s Garelick, Will Phelps, and Molle DeBartolo, Bell co-wrote the screenplay with Liz Nico and Jules Byrne. Axelle Azoulay and Matt Sacca served as associate producers.
