Tecno Unveils Pova 6 Pro 5G with Arc Lighting and 6,000mAh Battery in India

Tecno began selling the Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G in India on Friday, adding another smartphone to its lineup. A 108-megapixel triple rear camera unit and the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC were among the features of the phone when it was first unveiled in February of this year at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024. A 6,000mAh battery with support for 70W wired fast charging is another feature of the phone, which promises a “Better. Faster. Stronger experience like never before.”

Cost and Availability of the Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G in India

Tecno’s newest product, the Pova 6 Pro 5G, debuted in India at a competitive price of Rs 19,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model and Rs 21,999 for the 12GB + 256GB version. An instant bank of Rs 2,000 is available to interested buyers across all banks during the sale period.

These discounts effectively bring down the price to Rs 19,999 for the 12GB variant and Rs 17,999 for the 8GB variant. Buyers can also receive a Tecno S2 Speaker, valued at Rs. 4,999, from Tecno.

Regarding availability, the Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G will be offered in India on April 4 beginning at 12 p.m. IST. Both offline retail stores and Amazon are selling it. Comet Green and Meteorite Grey are the two available colors for the phone.

Specifications of the Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G

With a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a peak brightness of 1,300 nits, the 6.78-inch full-HD AMOLED display on the Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G is truly remarkable. Its performance is powered by a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC and up to 12GB of RAM, which is practically expandable to an extra 12GB. Interestingly, the 8GB RAM version has the option to be upgraded to 16GB. Operating on HiOS 14, which is based on Android 14, this device promises seamless and effective operation.

Regarding photography, the Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G has a triple rear camera setup: a 2-megapixel portrait lens, an AI-enhanced lens, and a 108-megapixel primary sensor with up to 3x in-sensor zoom. It also has a dual LED flash unit. There is a 32-megapixel front camera with a dual-tone LED flash for those who enjoy taking selfies.

Dynamic Port 2.0 is a noteworthy addition; it cleverly shows notifications and other alerts surrounding the hole punch cutout on the display. Additionally, the device offers an updated Arc Interface with over 200 LEDs surrounding the rear camera module and over 100 customization options. This feature allows users to customise the illumination of different patterns to match different calls or notifications. Additionally, the phone has dual speakers that support Dolby Atmos.

Powering the Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G is a robust 6,000mAh battery, complemented by 70W wired fast charging support. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS, and USB Type-C. With an IP53 rating for dust and splash resistance, this device is designed to withstand daily rigours. It measures 7.8mm in thickness and weighs 195g, ensuring a sleek and manageable form factor.
