India will see the theatrical premiere of the anime feature Look Back, which is based on Tatsuki Fujimoto’s one-shot manga of the same name and created by him.
Warner Bros. India posted the news on social media, saying, “Anime fans, take note! Look Back, the much awaited anime blockbuster, will soon be available in Indian theatres!
The movie’s release date has not been disclosed as of this writing.
Look Back in India will be distributed by Southeast Asian film distributor Encore Films. With The Boy and the Heron, which Warner Bros. India also distributed in the nation, the firm entered the Indian market.
In the film Look Back, fourth-grader Ayumu Fujino and her classmate Kyomoto are featured. The latter is a recluse who skips class, and they develop a rivalry over manga drawing.
Kiyotaka Oshiyama of Studio Durian is the director of the anime film adaption. Oshiyama is well-known for his work on the remake of Neon Genesis Evangelion, Evangelion: 2.0 Arrietty, You Can’t (Not) Go Forward, and The Wind Rises.
Look Back was published in Japan on June 28, 2024, and GKids is scheduled to release it in the United States on October 4.
