The Mummy will get a new look from Blumhouse, who reimagined Wolf Man in 2025. Lee Cronin is directing the comeback of the classic horror tale, which made its premiere in 1932 with Boris Karloff as the resurrected Imhotep. Jack Reynor will play the major role.

The Mummy, written and directed by Lee Cronin, will offer a new interpretation of the traditional monster. The release date is slated for April 17, 2026.

Cast

Jack Reynor, star of Midsommar, has been cast as the lead in the Atomic Monster and Blumhouse co-production, although there are still many unanswered questions surrounding his role.

Producers 

The Mummy is being co-financed by Blumhouse and Atomic Monster. The film’s producers are John Keville, Jason Blum, and James Wan. Executive producers include Judson Scott and Michael Clear. The executive in charge of Atomic Monster’s project is Alayna Glasthal.

The Mummy made her big-screen debut in 1997, launching a franchise that included The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008) and The Mummy Returns (2001).
