Velan Studios has announced that the team-based “dodgebrawl” game Knockout City, which is free to play, will be discontinued on June 6. In the coming months, a free PC version of the game called “Private Hosted Server” will be available. This version will let the game live forever on privately hosted servers.
On May 21, 2021, Knockout City made its Steam debut for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC platforms. On November 2, 2021, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions were made available.
“On the morning of June 6, 2023, over two years after our initial launch, all servers around the world will be shut down and the game will no longer be playable,” Velan Studios said in a message. “This was an extremely difficult decision for us, but a necessary and important one for our studio.”

Additionally, as of February 28, the game will no longer accept real-money transactions.
