The “Small Things Like These” Trailer Reveals Cillian Murphy’s Film’s Release Date

The official Small Things Like These teaser for Lionsgate’s upcoming Irish thriller, starring Oscar winner Cillian Murphy, has finally been released. The film is based on Claire Keegan’s novel of the same name from 2021, which describes the appalling Magdalene Laundries in Ireland.

“While working as a coal merchant to support his family, he discovers disturbing secrets kept by the local convent — and uncovers truths of his own — forcing him to confront his past and the complicit silence of a small Irish town controlled by the Catholic Church,” reads the official synopsis.

When is the Small Things Like These release date?

November 1 is when Small Things Like These is expected to open in theatres in the UK and Ireland. On November 8, it will open in theatres in the United States. This follows the movie’s world premiere at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival earlier this year. Tim Mielants is the director, while Enda Walsh wrote the screenplay. The latter previously collaborated with Murphy on the stage production and motion picture adaptation of Disco Pigs.

In addition, Eileen Walsh, Ciarán Hinds, Emily Watson, Michelle Fairley, and Clare Dunne are in the cast. Murphy, Matt Damon, Catherine Magee, Alan Moloney, and Drew Vinton are the producers of the movie. Ben Affleck, Michael Joe, Kevin Halloran, and Niamh Fagan serve as executive producers.
