The Smile Man OTT Release Update: Veteran actor R. Sarathkumar’s 150th film, which debuted in theatres on December 27, 2024, elicited a range of reactions from viewers. The Tamil thriller, which was directed by the legendary Syam-Praveen, is at last prepared for its online release.

The Smile Man Plot Summary
Chidambaram (Sarathkumar), a former investigator who survived an attack and vehicle accident five years ago, is coping with Alzheimer’s. He records his former cases, including the unsolved ‘Smile Man’ serial killings, in a book to preserve his memory. He meets Aravind (Sri), the son of his missing coworker Venkatesh (Suresh), during the book launch.
After discovering that a number of criminals had been set free, Chidambaram begins his investigation, only to be killed by the “Smile Man” murderer, which leads to a new wave of murders. Despite his memory loss, Chidambaram and Aravind work together to find the murderer and ultimately discover that Prabhu, a mortuary employee, is responsible for the killings. In order to make Chidambaram’s fiancée and her daughter happy after death, Prabhu killed them along with other victims since he was enamoured with them.
Chidambaram kills Prabhu in the last confrontation, but he is in a rehabilitation facility because he has Alzheimer’s, which prevents him from remembering what he did.
