The US Theatrical Release Date for Solo Levelling Recap is Set

Crunchyroll has formally revealed the date of the Solo Levelling recap film Solo Levelling -ReAwakening-‘s theatrical debut in the United States. This follows the streamer’s successful acquisition of the theatrical rights to the upcoming film, a special re-cap of the first season of the anime series, in North America and a few other countries.

“Over a decade has passed since a pathway called a ‘gate’ which connects this world and another dimension suddenly appeared, and people with superhuman powers called ‘hunters’ have been awakened,” reads the official synopsis. “Hunters use their superhuman powers to conquer dungeons inside the gates to make a living, and Sung Jinwoo, a hunter of the lowest rank, is considered the Weakest Hunter of All Mankind. One day, he encounters a double dungeon, a high-level dungeon hidden inside a low-level one. In front of a severely wounded Jinwoo, a mysterious quest window pops up. On the verge of death, Jinwoo decides to take on the quest, which makes him the only person who can level up.”

When is the Solo Leveling Recap Movie Release Date?

On December 6, 2024, Solo Leveling—ReAwakening—will be released in theatres across the United States and Canada. A unique preview of the first two episodes of Solo Levelling Season 2, which will premiere somewhere in January 2025, will also be included in the film, which is being described as a cinematic fan experience.

ShunsuKe Nakashige is the director of the anime series, which is based on Chugong’s best-selling Korean webtoon. Hiroyuki Sawano (Attack on Titan) and the Korean boy band TOMORROW X TOGETHER are in charge of the music. Hirotaka Tokuda designed the monsters for the anime, while Tomoko Sudo designed the characters. Motion graphics are handled by Production I.G. (Attack on Titan), while animation is done by A-1 Pictures (Sword Art Online).
