Top of IMDB’s 2024 Most Anticipated Films is “Sarfira,” Starring Akshay Kumar

Sarfira, the Hindi adaptation of Suriya’s Soorarai Pottru, stars Radhika Madan and Akshay Kumar together on film. The audience was impressed by the trailer. The movie is doing well because of its material. In the 24 hours following its publication on YouTube earlier this week, the Sarfira teaser became the most viewed movie trailer. And as of right now, it’s the most anticipated movie according to IMDB.

Based on IMDB’s rating, Sarfira is the most anticipated movie for July 2024. It has surpassed Indian 2 and Bad Newz in popularity. The real-life character of GR Gopinath, who made flying accessible to the average person, served as the inspiration for Sarfira’s tale. The official version of the Tamil film Soorarai Pottru, which won five national awards, is helmed by Sudha Kongara. The movie is scheduled to open on July 12.

Through the establishment of a low-cost aircraft company, the film follows the everyday man as he makes his way through the business world. The movie’s trailer suggests that it will tell the tale of a regular man’s perseverance in the face of social and financial obstacles. “Main aam aadmi ke liye cost nahi, caste barrier bhi todna chahta hoon,” declares Akshay Kumar in the teaser.

Under the respective brands of 2D Entertainment and Sikhya Entertainment, Suriya and Guneet Monga produced the original 2020 Tamil drama film, which was directed by Sudha Kongara. Kongara was the one who conceptualised and wrote the story. Alongside Paresh Rawal, Aparna Balamurali, and Suriya in the lead roles were Mohan Babu, Urvashi, and Karunas.

Recently, in a conversation with Galatta Plus, she compared both Akshay Kumar and Suriya’s working approaches for the scenes. Sudha was quoted explained, “Akshay sir, he is a far more outgoing and ebullient person compared to Suriya. Suriya is more intense, tight, quite and gives that kind of a performance. The scenes they shot for is so different from each other. The proposal scene that we shot, Akshay is flamboyant, but with Suriya, its lot more reserved. So naturally the characters become different. So it was good for me.”

The film is releasing on July 12.
