Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder: The Five-Month Waiting Period is Shortened

In February 2024, waiting times for the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder were significantly shorter than they were at the end of 2023. In the meantime, Maruti Suzuki’s delivery schedules for the Rumion MPV and the Glanza hatchback have not changed.

February 2024 Waiting Periods for the Toyota Hyryder

The delivery wait period for customers who reserve a Hyryder hybrid today will be between four and five months, which is roughly one and a half months shorter than the wait periods at the end of December 2023. The Hyryder mild-hybrid and CNG versions have waiting periods of 8–9 months and 12–13 months, respectively, which is a reduction of roughly 3 and 4 months.

Curiously, those who cannot wait for the Hyryder may choose to purchase its badge-engineered sibling, the Maruti Grand Vitara. Depending on the model, there may be a 2.5-month waiting period for Maruti’s midsize SUV. With pricing ranging from Rs 11.14 lakh to Rs 20.19 lakh, Toyota offers the Hyryder with 1.5-liter mild hybrid petrol powertrains that produce 103 horsepower and 1.5-liter petrol-electric powertrains that produce 115 horsepower.

February 2024 Waiting Periods for the Toyota Rumion

Owners of the Toyota Rumion, which is a derivative of the Maruti Ertiga, will have to wait 6-7 months for their new MPV, which is roughly 2-3 months longer than that of the Maruti XL6 and 3-4 months longer than that of the Ertiga. Reservations for the Rumion CNG have been closed, as they have been since September of last year, due to the brand stating that it received a “overwhelming response.”

The 1.5-liter mild hybrid petrol engine that powers the Toyota Hyryder also powers the Rumion, which offers a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque convertor automated gearbox. The price range for the MPV is Rs 10.44 lakh to Rs 13.73 lakh.

February 2024 Waiting Periods for the Toyota Glanza

A customer would have to wait approximately one week longer for the delivery of their Maruti-badged premium hatchback than they would for the Baleno, as the badge-engineered Glanza has a current wait time of approximately one month. The 5-speed AMT and the 5-speed manual both have the same waiting period, though.

A 1.2-liter, 90 horsepower gasoline engine is mated to both gearboxes. The current pricing range for the Toyota Glanza is Rs 6.86 lakh to Rs 9.99 lakh.
