The 2025 Grammy Awards will once again be hosted by South African comedian Trevor Noah. The Hollywood Reporter explained that this news was made less than two weeks before the event, which is expected to happen later than in years past.

The 2025 Grammy Awards will be televised live from a Los Angeles location on February 2.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the event will serve as a fundraiser to support relief efforts in addition to celebrating musical accomplishments, given the ongoing destruction caused by wildfires in the area.

A few days prior to the Grammys’ February 2 date being confirmed, there were speculations that the Recording Academy was considering postponing the event or holding it as a fundraiser.

In addition to honouring the bravery of first responders who have valiantly battled the fires, the program will try to raise money for wildfire relief.

The Grateful Dead’s MusiCares Person of the Year event and the Clive Davis pre-Grammy gala, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary, will take place alongside the Grammys as planned. But Spotify and other music companies, as well as the three major record labels, have decided to call off their pre-Grammy parties.

He explained ahead of the 2023 show why he keeps returning to host the Grammys. “Moments that you have backstage with the performers you’re just walking around and you’re seeing Billie Eilish and she’s having a moment with another artist you don’t get to see that anywhere else, and you don’t get to experience that level of joy. For me to be part of that is truly, I guess now, it’s a three times a lifetime opportunity,” said Noah, adding, “I never take it for granted because all of these people are the soundtracks to our lives.”

In addition to being a Grammy Award producer, Noah has been nominated for three Emmys in relation to the music event. In addition, he has received three Grammy Award nominations for Best Comedy Album.

With 11 nominations overall, Beyoncé is in the lead for the 2025 event, followed closely by Charli XCX and Post Malone, each with eight. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kendrick Lamar and Billie Eilish have seven nominations each, while Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, and Chappell Roan are just behind with six.
