Unveiling the Enigma: South Superstar Demands Whopping Rs 250 Crore for Dual Mega Projects Valued at Over Rs 1000 Crore

The success of movies like RRR, K.G.F: Chapter 2, Vikram, Kantara, and others gave the South film industry a huge boost. According to a Times of India report, Ram Charan, who recently received Rs 45 crore for his role in RRR, is said to have increased his fees and is now demanding Rs 100 crore for his next film with director Gowtam Tinnanuri, while Allu Arjun has doubled his fees following the success of his most recent film, Pushpa. But from his next two projects, which are valued at over Rs 1000 crore combined, another well-known South Indian actor is expected to make over Rs 200 crore. Prabhas, a well-known figure in the Telugu film industry, rose to fame across India thanks to SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali film series. With Eeswar (2002), the 44-year-old actor made his acting debut. Although his most recent movie, Adipurush, did not perform well at the box office, Prabhas is about to return with two eagerly awaited films that will soon be released: Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire and Kalki 2898 AD.

Prabhas, whose estimated net worth is $29 million (roughly Rs 240 crore), has insisted on charging a high price for his next projects. He is reportedly demanding fees of Rs 100 crore for his film Salaar and Rs 150 crore for Nag Ashwin’s multi-starrer Kalki 2898 AD, according to a News18 report.

A Business Today report states that Salaar, which is being made on an enormous budget of Rs 450 crore, is being written and directed by Prashanth Neel. Kalki 2898 AD, one of Prabhas’ other projects, is one of the most expensive movies ever produced in the Indian film industry. It co-stars Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani. The expensive film, which features a lot of visual effects, cost Rs 600 crore to produce, according to a report in Economic Times. With more than Rs 1000 crore committed to his next films, the 44-year-old actor hopes to rule the box office once again.

When Kalki 2898 AD opens on January 12, 2024, it will compete at the box office with Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki, which stars Shah Rukh Khan, Vicky Kaushal, and Taapsee Pannu. Meanwhile, Prabhas’s eagerly awaited action thriller Salaar will open on December 22, 2023.
