Bollywood fans are expected to have a busy month of December. The month began with one of the biggest film clashes of the year (after Gadar 2 and OMG 2), pitting Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur against Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal. The movie debuted in theaters this month. Dunki, Shah Rukh Khan’s last movie of the year, is also scheduled to open to great anticipation at the end of the month. This week also sees the release of Zoya Akgtar’s The Archies, which stars Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda, and Khushi Kapoor among others.
Animal
Since its December 1 release in theaters, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal has garnered significant attention. A man’s strained relationship with his father pushes him toward violence in the film, which stars Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, and Ranbir Kapoor among others.
The Sam Bahadur
Vicky Kaushal portrays India’s first Field Marshal, Sam Manekshaw, in Meghna Gulzar’s Sam Bahadur. In the war biopic, Sanya Malhotra portrays Manekshaw’s wife Silloo, and Fatima Sana Shaikha plays former prime minister Indira Gandhi.
The Archers
Suhana Khan, the daughter of Shah Rukh Khan, Khushi Kapoor, the late Sridevi’s daughter, and Agastya Nanda, the grandson of Amitabh Bachchan, are scheduled to debut in The Archies. Yuvraj Menda, Aditi Dot Saigal, Vedang Raina, and Mihir Ahuja are also in the cast. The movie is a musical and is based on the well-known Archie comics.
Kadak Singh
Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury is the director of the crime thriller Kadak Singh, starring Pankaj Tripathi. The film, which also stars Parvathy Thiruvothu and Sanjana Sanghi, centers on an officer from the Department of Financial Crimes who, despite having retrograde amnesia, attempts to solve a scam.
Joram
Joram, a thriller directed by Devashish Makhija and starring Manoj Bajpayee, Rajshri Deshpande, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, and others, is about greed and rebellion. The main character is a father who, along with his small daughter, is on the run.
Inki Dunki
Dunki, the third movie of the year for Shah Rukh Khan, is his first feature film with director Rajkumar Hirani. The film centers on illegal immigration and stars Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani, and others.
Kho Gaye Hum Kahan
Siddhanth Chaturvedi, Adarsh Gourav, Ananya Panday, and Kho Gaye Hum Kahan team up for a drama that is referred to as a coming-of-age tale. The whole theme of the movie is the highs and lows of friendship and love in the digital age.
