Vietnam Airlines Increases Germany-Vietnam Connectivity by Growing Munich Operations for the Summer of 2025 In response to the growing demand for travel between Germany and Vietnam, Vietnam Airlines plans to expand its presence in Munich as part of its summer 2025 timetable.

The airline plans to increase the number of flights on the Munich–Hanoi route from twice to three times per week starting in July 2025. The Munich–Ho Chi Minh City route will resume twice-weekly service with updated schedules in May 2025.

These flights are operated by Boeing 787-9 aircraft, which have 211 economy seats in a 3-3-3 arrangement, 28 business class seats in a 1-2-1 arrangement, and 35 premium economy seats in a 2-3-2 arrangement.

Munich joined Frankfurt, London Heathrow, and Paris Charles de Gaulle as Vietnam Airlines’ fourth European destination when it debuted last year.

On these itineraries, SkyTeam provides customers with a first-rate travel experience by using its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. With 28 business class seats arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration, 35 premium economy seats arranged in a 2-3-2 configuration, and 211 economy class seats arranged in a 3-3-3 format, the aircraft has a three-class cabin layout.

2.6 million people flew from and via Munich to the Asia-Pacific region in 2024, according to a new report from Munich Airport. This represents a 38.7% increase over the previous year.

The addition of additional routes to Munich in 2024 by Vietnam Airlines and EVA Air improved the airport’s connectivity with Asia. In June, Cathay Pacific will begin its first service to Munich, becoming the tenth Asia-Pacific airline to serve the main airport in southern Germany.
