Vinay Rajkumar’s Action Movie Pepe OTT Release is Coming Soon

Fans were visibly excited when Vinay Rajkumar’s Pepe’s initial images were released. Vinay was seen in the film, which was directed by rookie Shreelesh Nair, in both action mode and his largest avatar to date. That thrill, however, was fleeting, as the movie ultimately fell short. Pepe debuted to mostly negative reviews because of Shreelesh’s non-linear storytelling and editing style, which made the overly character-heavy plot unappealing to viewers.

In contrast, Pepe tells the story of a multigenerational conflict between the downtrodden lower class and the upper class over access to a river. Even though the movie addresses casteism and women’s rights, it gets lost in the midst of all the carnage and violence. Shreelesh also hopes to release a second chapter of his story, which would build on the plot he’s started and provide additional background on the characters. However, considering what happened to Pepe in cinemas, that may not be possible.

Vinay released his second movie of the year, Pepe, after the somewhat successful Ondu Sarala Prema Kathe. The actor is about to debut a movie titled Andondittu Kaala. In the movie Andondittu Kaala, he plays a budding filmmaker opposite Aditi Prabhudeva. The producer’s death during the pandemic caused his film Gramayana to stop, but it has now been restarted, and the actor has secured a deal to appear in Duniya Vijay’s upcoming film, City Lights.
